Are chiropractic adjustments painful?

How long does a chiropractic appointment last?

The first two visits at our office are scheduled. Plan for 45 minutes for your initial visit and about 30 minutes for your follow-up Report of Findings Visit. After these first two visits, no appointments are needed. Stop in anytime during our office hours to get checked. A typical visit only takes about 5 minutes. Wait times vary depending on day and time of the day, you may have no wait at all or it could be up to 30 minutes at most.

How are chiropractors educated?

To become a Doctor of Chiropractic, you must obtain a bachelor’s degree prior to entering chiropractic college. Accredited chiropractic schools require an average of over 4,000 credits within about a 4-year period, which is similar to medical school requirements. Dr. Tai completed a 6-month internship program at a busy chiropractic practice in Florida, that is needed before graduating. Chiropractors must also pass multiple board exams and be licensed by their state board. As well as maintain their license and complete continuing education.

Can pregnant women see a chiropractor?

Yes! Chiropractic care during pregnancy can help pelvic alignment and balance, decrease back pain and back labor and help with shorter labor times, among many other benefits. Our chiropractor has taken additional training and is certified in the Webster Technique.

What is the “popping” sound during the adjustment?

The popping noises are caused by gas bubbles being suddenly released from spinal joints during an adjustment. This noise is completely normal and does not accompany any pain or discomfort. Adjustments Inca also happen without the popping sound.
